The ptpcamerad course of is stopping a python script from accessing a related DSLR by not permitting use of the usb ports. I wish to know the way to droop or kill the method with out it instantly respawning. I’ve tried:

  1. Stop/Power Stop in Exercise monitor (instantly respawns; can’t stop the proudly owning course of, as it’s owned by launchd)
  2. sudo kill [PID] (instantly seems with new PID; additionally respawns with -9)
  3. launchctl disable gui/$(id -u)/com.apple.ptpcamerad (does nothing)

How can I cease this course of from continually respawning and stopping entry to usb-connected cameras?
